The construction project to build the new wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in Cagnes-sur-Mer, Southern France included replacing the existing DN800 steel sea outfall.

The chosen solution consisted of supplying and laying a DN1000 Bonna Reinforced Concrete Cylinder Pipe (RCCP) sinker pipeline with SL joints laid from a jacking shaft.

The road and beach in front of the WWTP were crossed by microtunnelling a DN1600 concrete duct which served as a sleeve for the DN1000 Bonna RCCP outfall.

The end of the outfall pipe is laid at a depth of 100 metres.
