As part of the construction project to build two EPRs for EDF at the Hinkley-Point nuclear power plant in the United Kingdom, Bylor (a Bouygues-Laing O'Rourke joint venture), which is responsible for the civil engineering work, entrusted BONNA TP with manufacturing, transporting and laying the RCCPs (Reinforced Concrete Cylinder Pipe) pipelines for the pumping station.
All the pipes (RCCPs) and special parts for this project have an internal diameter of 800 mm or 900 mm and are classified as EIPS (Equipment Important for Safety). They were all manufactured at our Conflans Sainte-Honorine plant in Northern France.
The contract began in 2018 with the studies, followed by the manufacture and onsite installation of packages 1 and 2 by our teams in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
